Description

For sale: a rare and exceptional first edition, first printing hardcover copy of Women Pro and Con by Various Artists in a new archival wrap. First  Edition unstated, 1958 Peter Pauper Press. First Printing with no subsequent printing. Iluustrated by Jeff Hill.

The book is in Very Good condition with with clean, bright boards, strong title ink on a square spine, mild foxing on the page blocks, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with stars, brackets and hashes in the margins of approximately half of the quotations and uneven toning on both paste downs. No other marks, inscriptions or signs of ownership. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with mild surface wear, moderate toning, heavy edge wear, and the $1.00 price on the front flap.  Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.

61 pages of quotations about women…good and bad. This book was published in 1958 and includes color art…women as half light and half dark, but always intriguing.

Small volume ships promptly in a secure mailer with book wrapped in both craft paper and bubble wrap.
