Very Good hardcover with clean, bright blue boards with one finger print sized lighter spotting on the silk moire covers, with a very strong sheen and pattern. The gilt is very strong on the front board with a few specks missing from the E and N of the title, while the spine is sunned with more gilt chipped off. Also with clean, lightly toned page blocks, tight binding, moderate to heavy spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, moderate edge wear and lightly rubbed corners with no bare spots. Previous owner’s name, city and 1941 written in ink on the top of the title page. There is also a very light ink stamp on the reverse of the rear free endpaper. No other marks or inscriptions inside. Pages clean and lightly toned.
Good un-clipped dust jacket with heavy edge wear, chips gaps and a 4″ tear on the back. The front cover illustration is only marred by a crease. Looks nice in a new Brodart archival wrap.
