The book is in Near Fine condition with bright boards with a few marks on the rear, strong title ink on a straight spine, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned.
The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with the price and 0678 date code on the front flap, and mild surface wear and heavy edge wear, chips and tears. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
A collection of stories includes some of Gabriel García Márquez’s earlier work from the 1950s, as well as stories written in the 1960s and ’70s, includes eleven short stories and a novella, Innocent Eréndira, in which a young girl who dreams of freedom cannot escape the reach of her vicious and avaricious grandmother.
