Description
For sale: a Rare and Exceptional First Edition, later printing of A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole in a new archival wrap. First Edition unstated, 1980 Louisiana State University Press. Tenth Printing, October 1990 stated.
The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards with a strong sheen, strong title ink on a straight spine, lightly foxed page blocks, tight binding, very mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and strong corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with mild surface and edge wear, that looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
After four decades, the peerless wit and indulgent absurdity of A Confederacy of Dunces continues to attract new readers. Though the manuscript was rejected by many publishers during John Kennedy Toole’s lifetime, his mother successfully published the book years after her son’s suicide, and it won the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for fiction.
Don’t miss the opportunity to own this Near Fine first edition later printing of this rare book. Ships promptly in corrugated mailer with book wrapped in both craft paper and multiple layers of bubble wrap.
