First Edition. 1924 Little Brown. First Printing with 1924 on both title and copyright pages. Good/VG hardcover with no dust jacket, as issued. Boards are relatively clean with fabric pattern still present, with rubbed/rounded corners, frayed spine ends and a finger size discoloration on the back. Gilt letters are lightly on the front title/graphic. Gilt from the sunned spine are all gone, but ghosts of the letters are still legible up close. Top gilt very strong, and the other page blocks are clean. Both front and rear hinges are split and being held together with acid-free document tape, but the binding is still strong. Two previous owner’s bookplates/labels are on the FEP, with one of the owner’s also writing her name on the bottom. No other marks or inscriptions. Inside pages are strong, supple, clean and lightly toned.
