Description
For sale: a Rare and Exceptional Book Club Edition hardcover copy of Carrie by Stephen King in a new archival wrap.
The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong title gilt on a straight spine, lightly foxed top page block, tight binding, mild spine tilt, creased top spine end, mild edge wear, and one bumped/rolled corner. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions or signs of ownership inside. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and very bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection. Appears to be unread.
The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with one major flaw: a 1″ x 5″ diagonal crease on the front with the 1″ section torn to the top edge. Otherwise the jacket is very clean with shiny covers and mild edge wear. The jacket has no price on the unclipped front flap, no barcode on the rear cover, and has the same size, content and design by Alex Gotfryd as the original First state jacket. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap. The missing jacket price is the only evidence of being a book club edition.
Stephen King’s classic debut novel features an unpopular teenage girl whose mother is a religious fanatic is tormented and teased to the breaking point by her more popular schoolmates and uses her hidden telekinetic powers to inflict a terrifying revenge.
Ships promptly in a corrugated mailer with book wrapped in both craft paper and multiple layers of bubble wrap. A real beauty!
