For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Western Lands by William S. Burroughs with a remainder mark. First Edition stated, February 1987 Holt, Rinehart and Winston. First Printing with complete number line 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2.

The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright cloth boards, strong title gilt on a straight spine, with a remainder mark on the side page block, tight binding, no spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with the previous owner’s reader notes and an erased price on the half title page. No other marks, inscriptions, or signs of ownership. The end paper and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with price intact, mild surface wear and heavy edge wear. First state jacket with $18.95 on the front flap. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
