For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first hardcover edition, first printing of This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald. First Edition unstated, 1920 Scribner. First Printing with Published April 1920, the Scribner colophon and no subsequent printing on the copyright page. 305 pages plus a doubled-sided ad which is uncut.

The book is in Very Good condition with clean, bright boards with a strong sheen and no gilt in the front title deboss, as issued. Also with, faded title gilt on a straight spine with a 2″ oval discoloration. Also a, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled and rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with no marks, inscriptions or signs of ownership inside. A few pages with chips and a few more with miscut pages. The rear end paper and the interior pages are very clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The facsimile dust jacket (FEL) is in Near Fine condition with bright color on the front cover, and mild edge wear and a 1″ tape stain on the spine. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
