For sale: a Rare and Exceptional second hardcover edition, early printing of This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald. First Edition unstated, 1948 Scribner. Presumed Ninth Printing with I-6.57 [V] print line on the copyright page which indicates a 1957 print date. 305 pages in the same plates as the true first edition.
The book is in Very Good condition with lightly faded boards with a strong sheen and white stain on the front board and spine. Also with, faded title gilt on a sunned spine which is only legible up close. Also a, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled and rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with the previous owner’s name on the first free end paper. There are small stains on both sides of the second free end paper and lighter on the surrounding pages. No other marks, inscriptions or signs of ownership inside. The interior pages are clean and moderately toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
