Description

For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Place of Dead Roads by William S. Burroughs in a new archival wrap. First Edition stated, February 1984 Holt, Rinehart and Winston. First Printing with complete number line 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2.

The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright cloth boards, strong title gilt on a convex spine, some smudges on page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with the sticker residue on the front paste down and an erased price and a few other marks on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or signs of ownership. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with price intact, mild surface wear and heavy edge wear. First state jacket with $15.95 and 0284 date code on the creased front flap. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
