The exterior of the paperback edition is in Very Good condition, with clean, illustrated covers with two partial, corner creases, mild surface wear, strong title on a straight spine, clean page blocks, a tight binding with one crease, lightly rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with the previous owner’s name on the first free endpaper. No other marks, inscriptions, or signs of ownership inside. The inside covers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The Old Country is a collection of stories by Sholom Aleichem, the great Yiddish humorist Sholem Aleichem. This edition was published shortly after the success of the 1964 musical Fiddler on the Roof, based on Aleichem’s stories about Tevye the Dairyman.
