Single song from the stage musical Honeymoon Lane. Pictured on the front is Eddie Dowling. Excerpts from four songs are found on the rear cover: I Can’t Get Over a Girl Like You (Broones and Ruskin) and Open Your Eyes (Gorney and Stoddard) and Half A Moon and The Little White House from Honeymoon Lane.
Honeymoon Lane was a popular Broadway musical by Eddie Dowling, who wrote the book and also starred with music by James F. Hanley. The musical was a big success and ran for nearly a year from 20 September 1926 at the Knickerbocker Theatre on Broadway. Among the cast was Pauline Mason as Mary Brown, Eddie Dowling as Tim Murphy, Al Sexton as Ted Kleinze, and Kate Smith. The play was made into a film of the same name with Dowling again starring in 1931.
The Little White House (at the End of Honeymoon Lane) was one of the biggest songs of 1927.
The front cover is in Good condition, with a name written on the front cover, two creases, rounded corners and the folder seam torn. An old piece of tape is still attached from a previous owner. The interior is in Good condition with heavy edge wear on lightly toned pages. Ships promptly in a manila envelope with cardboard.
