The exterior of this paperback edition is in Very Good condition, with clean, bright covers with one partial crease, foxed page blocks, moderate to heavy surface wear, strong title on a creased spine, a tight binding with no spine cracks, rubbed spine ends, Moderate edge wear, and rounded corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper and two small ink brackets on pages 23 and 24. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, with some mild age spotting.
Nin continues her debate on the use of drugs versus the artist’s imagination, portrays many famous people in the arts, and recounts her visits to Sweden, the Brussels World’s Fair, Paris, and Venice. “[Nin] looks at life, love, and art with a blend of gentility and acuity that is rare in contemporary writing” (John Barkham Reviews).
