For sale: a Rare and Exceptional  First Edition , early printing hardcover copy of The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder with no dust jacket. First Edition unstated, 1927 Albert and Charles Boni. Stated Thirteenth Printing April 1928. Ten illustrations by Amy Drevenstedt, including the frontispiece.

The book is in Very Good condition with clean, bright boards with a strong sheen present. Also, strong title ink on the front and lightly faded on a straight spine with moderate rubbing to the spine ends. Toned page blocks with a damp stain, tight binding, heavy spine tilt, moderate edge wear, and rounded corners. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The illustrated end papers and the interior pages are clean, strong and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
