The exterior of the paperback edition is in Very Good condition, with clean covers with no creases, moderate to heavy surface wear, strong title on a square spine, lightly foxed page blocks, a tight binding with no cracks, lightly rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with two small damp stains on the first 25 pages no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership. The inside covers and the interior pages are clean and moderately toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
In Swann’s Way, the themes of Proust’s masterpiece are introduced, and the narrator’s childhood in Paris and Combray is recalled, most memorably in the evocation of the famous maternal good-night kiss.
