For sale is an exceptional early Reprint Edition, First Printing of Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse in a new archival wrap. Reprint Edition described, 1957 Frederick Ungar. Presumed First Printing with no subsequent Printing.
The book exterior is in Very Good hardcover with clean, bright boards, with a strong sheen and a large stain on the back. The book has lightly toned page blocks, heavy spine tilt, rolled and lightly rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear and bumped corners. A few chips off of the otherwise strong title ink on a slightly concave spine. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with the three-line name and address of the previous owner on the front paste down and the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The inside covers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
No dust jacket.
Ships promptly in a manila envelope with the book wrapped in both craft paper and multiple layers of bubble wrap.
