Description
For sale: a Rare and Exceptional Book Club Edition hardcover copy of The Stand: For the First Time Complete And Uncut by Stephen King in a new archival wrap. Book Club
The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong title gilt on a slightly concave spine and strong gilt on the front cover facsimile signature and graphic design. Also, a few light spots on page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and strong corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with the previous owner’s name inked on the front pastedown and the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions or signs of ownership inside. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection. Appears to be unread.
The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with mild surface and edge wear. Later state jacket with no price on the front flap, the 0590 code on the rear flap, and no barcode on the rear cover. Looks spectacular in a new Brodart archival wrap, which was cut extra long to hide the previous owner’s name on the front paste down. The missing jacket price is the only evidence of being a book club edition.
Stephen King’s apocalyptic vision of a world blasted by plague and tangled in an elemental struggle between good and evil remains as riveting – and eerily plausible – as when it was first published.
Ships promptly in a corrugated mailer with book wrapped in both craft paper and multiple layers of bubble wrap. A real beauty!
