For sale is a rare and exceptional circa 1954 Printing of The Sinister Sign Post [Original Edition] (Hardy Boys #15) by Franklin W. Dixon, in a Very Good dust jacket protected in an archival wrap. First [Original] Edition unstated, 1936 Grosset and Dunlap on copyright page. 1954 Printing with The Secret of Pirates’ Hill as the last published title listed on the front flap and the single scene graphic endpapers.
The hardcover book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards with a strong sheen and cloth pattern. The title ink is strong on the front board and the straight spine. Also with, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, moderate edge wear and rubbed and lightly rounded corners with no bare spots. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with the ghost of an erased price on the second free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The Orange and white Gretta graphic end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The Sinister Sign Post is Volume 15 in the original The Hardy Boys Mystery Stories published by Grosset & Dunlap. The Hardy boys plan to go for a football game in the Seneca grounds. While they are going, they experience a shortage of petrol, and are asked by a man in a truck from Old Kentucky the directions to the racetracks. Shortly after giving the truck directions, the brothers hear a gunshot which they mark as suspicious. Despite the many setbacks the brothers encounter while going to the game, they reached just in time to see the opening kick-off.
