The book is in Near Fine condition with bright boards with a few spots, strong gilt on the spine, clean page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with mild surface wear and heavy edge wear with two 1″ tears, that looks attractive in a new Brodart archival wrap.
The main character of Shosha is aspiring author Aaron Greidinger who lives in the Hasidic quarter of the Jewish neighborhood of Warsaw during the 1930s.
