For sale is a rare and exceptional first edition, early printing of The Secret History by Donna Tartt, First Edition unstated, 1992 Knopf. Fourth printing stated on the copyright page.

The book is in Near Fine condition with spotless, illustrated boards, strong title ink on a straight spine,  a few scuffs on page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and two lightly bumped corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and bright, making this an excellent addition to any collection.

The see-through dust jacket is also in Near Fine condition, with the price on the front flap, moderate to heavy surface wear and mild edge wear. Striking jacket and book design by Barbara De Wilde and Chip Kidd.

Donna Tartt, winner of the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for her most recent novel, The Goldfinch, established herself as a major talent with The Secret History, which has become a contemporary classic.
