For sale: a Rare first edition, later printing hardcover copy of Sand and Foam by Kahlil Gibran in a very rare dust jacket. First Edition described, October 1926 Knopf. 35th Printing, March 1979 stated. Includes seven full page illustrations by the author.

The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong title gilt on a convex spine and front cover graphic, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends,  mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with the first free end paper torn out. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with a 1/4″ tear repaired with acid free tape, the price cut off the front flap, and mild surface and edge wear.  Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
