The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, cloth boards, strong title gilt on the spine and front cover design, clean page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and two lightly bumped corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with the previous owner’s bookplate on the first free end paper and no other marks, inscriptions, or signs of ownership. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned.
The dust jacket is in Good condition with heavy edge wear, a sunned spine with gaps and tears in the top of the spine. A first-state jacket design with no price on the front flap and no Book Club Imprint. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
