For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first hardcover edition, early printing of Renascence and Other Poems by Edna St. Vincent Millay with no dust jacket. First Edition unstated, 1917 Harper and Brother printing with the E-B code and the Eighth Printing statement on the copyright page. The Harper E-B code indicates the month (E – October) and the year (B = 1927) of the printing.
The book exterior is in Good condition with bright boards with spots on both covers, strong title ink on the partial paper label on a convex spine with a one inch bare section of the lower spine. Also with, toned page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, , heavy edge wear, and rounded and rubbed leather corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with the previous owner’s bookplate and date on the front paste down and mild foxing on the rear end paper and paste down. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean, supple and lightly toned.
