Description

For sale: a Rare and Exceptional reprint edition, first printing hardcover copy of Podkayne of Mars by Robert A. Heinlein protected in a new archival wrap. First Edition unstated, 1963 G. P. Putnam’s. Eighth Impression stated.

The book is in Very Good condition with clean, lightly faded boards with two 3″ tape stains on each board.  There are only three visible signs of being a Library book:  the removal of the front and rear end papers and a neatly blacked out marker hiding the Library name and date on the title page. Otherwise this is a clean copy with, strong title ink on a straight spine, clean page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and two bumped corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with the crossed out name  on the title page previously mentioned. The end papers were removed and the exposed pages have tape stains. The front and rear paste downs have a few marks. No other marks, inscriptions, or signs inside. The interior pages are clean and lightly toned.

The dust jacket is in Very Good condition without any Library marks and protected in a new archival wrap. First state jacket with the price cut off the front flap and the 0263 date present, moderate surface wear, and heavy edge wear.

Poddy Fries, a young Martian, longs to became the first female starship captain, and with her uncle, the Ambassador Plenipotentiary from Mars, she travels to Venus and Earth.

Ships promptly in a secure mailer with book wrapped in both craft paper and bubble wrap.
