Description

For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first hardcover edition, first printing of The Obstacle Race: The Fortunes of Women Painters and Their Work by Germaine Greer. First Farrar, Straus and Giroux edition stated, 1979 Farrar, Straus and Giroux. First Printing with no subsequent printing.

The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong title ink on a straight spine, mild foxing on top page block, tight binding, no spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rounded corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The price-clipped dust jacket is in Good condition with mild surface wear, heavy edge wear and two tears mended with pH-neutral tape. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
