For sale is a rare first edition, second printing of Notes of an Alchemist by Loren Eiseley. First Edition stated, 1972 Scribner’s. Second Printing with B-12.72 (V) print line.
The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards with four tape marks, strong title ink on a straight spine, lightly foxed page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with a memorial label withdrawn from the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on the first free end paper and a paste stain from a removed circulation card on the last free end paper. No other library marks, stamps or writing. The interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with mild surface wear, heavy edge wear and no spine label. First state jacket with $6.95 price on front flap. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
