For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, first printing paperback copy of No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy. First Paperback Edition unstated, 2005 Knopf. First Printing with 2015 on both title and copyright pages and no subsequent printing. This is the very rare Knopf first edition softcover with the same wrap-around cover design by Chip Kidd with the title and author’s name as the only text on the front cover, which is the same as the first hardcover edition. The later issue Vintage Contemporary paperback is slightly smaller and has two lines of additional text and and a different back cover.

The exterior of this paperback edition is in Near Fine condition, with clean, illustrated covers with one partial crease, clean page blocks, mild surface wear, strong title on an un-cracked spine, a tight binding with no spine cracks, strong spine ends, mild edge wear and lightly rounded corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
