For sale is an exceptional Book Club Edition, First Printing of Narcissus and Goldmund by in a new archival wrap. Book Club Edition (BCE) unstated, 1968 Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Early (perhaps first) BCE Printing, with a 31 K gutter code on page 315 which indicates an August 1969 print date.
The book is in Near Fine condition with clean boards with mild fading at the edges, strong title gilt on a lightly sunned spine, light foxing to top page block, tight binding, no spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, rubbed corners. and no BCE dimple or imprint. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with no marks, inscriptions or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and evenly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with the Book Club Edition and no price on the front flap, mild surface wear and heavy edge wear, chips and a one inch tear mended with pH-neutral tape. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
