For sale: a rare early First Edition Later Print, hardcover copy of The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. First Edition unstated, 1980 Harcourt. Eleventh Printing with K L M N O partial letter line.

The exterior of the book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards with a small gilt ISBN number on the rear board and strong title gilt on a cloth spine and front graphic. Also, lightly foxed page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with a blind stamp on the title page and the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making this an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with mild surface wear a sunned spine, and heavy edge wear. First state jacket with $15.95 price on the front flap and ISBN 0-15-144647-4 on the back cover. Looks great in a Brodart archival wrap.
