For sale: a Rare and Exceptional Early Reprint Edition, First Printing hardcover copy of My Antonia by Willa Cather with no dust jacket.  Reprint Edition unstated, 1946 Houghton Mifflin. First Printing, with no subsequent printing.Riverside Press imprints on both title and copyright pages.
The book exterior is in  Very Good hardcover with bright, soiled boards, with moderate sheen and faded, but legible, title ink on a heavily sunned spine. The book has a few spots on the lightly toned page blocks, heavy spine tilt, rolled and rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear, and rounded and rubbed corners. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with the ghost of an erased price on the half title page. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The novel tells the stories of an orphaned boy from Virginia, Jim Burden, and the elder daughter in a family of Bohemian immigrants, Ántonia Shimerda, who are each brought as children to be pioneers in Nebraska towards the end of the 19th century. The first year in the very new place leaves strong impressions on both children, affecting them for life.
