For sale: an exceptional first edition, first printing hardcover copy of Music for Chameleons: New Writings by Truman Capote by Truman Capote. First Edition stated, 1980 Random House. First Printing with number line starting at 2 next to First Edition statement, as per publisher.
The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong silver title gilt on a straight spine, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and bumped corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with the previous owner’s name and date on front paste-down and mostly hidden by front flap. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is a book club edition without any BCE statement or emblem – just the missing price on the front flap. In Very Good condition with heavy wear and a small tear to the rear. The front graphic design is mostly free of defects, that looks attractive in a new Brodart archival wrap.
