For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first paperback edition, first printing of McSweeney’s Issue 18 by Adam Levin, Joyce Carol Oates, Roddy Doyle and others. First Edition unstated, 2005 McSweeney’s Books. First Printing with no subsequent printing.

The exterior of this paperback edition is in Near Fine condition, with clean, bright covers with no creases, clean page blocks, mild surface wear, strong title on a square spine, a tight binding with no spine cracks, lightly rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear and lightly rounded corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

Even beyond Edmund White’s youthful hustler, Joyce Carol Oates’s fatherly killer, and Roddy Doyle’s Rwandan refugee, Issue 18 will not stay at home. Bears, clouds, assassinations, and demons lurk in a high-concept labyrinth of stories.
