Description

For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Man who Invented the Twentieth Century: Nikola Tesla, Forgotten Genius of Electricity by Robert Lomas in a  new archival wrap. First Edition stated, 1999 Headline Book Publishers, London UK. First Printing with full number line.

The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong silver title gilt on the straight spine, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and two lightly bumped corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with no marks, inscriptions or other signs of ownership inside. The illustrated end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection. Ribbon bookmark is frayed.

The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with a 2″ slice on the top front that has been repaired with acid-free tape. The jacket also has mild surface and edge wear, and looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.

Nikola Tesla was responsible for many electrical inventions, but is largely unheard of. Using Tesla’s own writings, court transcripts and FBI files, this book pieces together the true extent of Tesla’s scientific genius and tells the tale of how his name came to be so widely forgotten.

Small volume ships promptly in a secure mailer with book wrapped in both craft paper and bubble wrap.
