For sale is a rare and exceptional single song sheet music in an archival sleeve. 1951 T.B. Harms. Lyrics by Oscar Hamerstein 2nd. Music by Jerome Kern.  Piano and Vocals, 6 pages with strong seam and a 50 cent front cover price.

On the front cover is a clean collage of stills from the M-G-M movie musical Show Boat. On the rear cover is an ad for the upcoming collection “Album of Jerome Kern songs” with a sketch and facsimile signature of the composer and no excerpts.

Show Boat is a 1951 movie musical, based on the 1927 stage musical of the same name by Jerome Kern (music) and Oscar Hammerstein II (script and lyrics), and the 1926 novel by Edna Ferber. It was made by MGM, adapted for the screen by John Lee Mahin, produced by Arthur Freed and directed by George Sidney.

This third adaptation of Show Boat stars Kathryn Grayson, Ava Gardner, and Howard Keel, with Joe E. Brown, Marge Champion, Gower Champion, William Warfield, Robert Sterling, Agnes Moorehead and Leif Erickson. The 1951 Show Boat was the second highest-grossing film of that year.

The front cover is in Very Good condition with no names, no creases, no tears, lightly rounded corners and a strong seam. The interior pages are in Very Good condition with mild edge wear. No marks on clean pages,  with no inscriptions.
