First Ballantine Paperback Edition stated. The Fellowship of the Ring states a Fifty-sixth Printing and is dated August 1976. The Two Towers and The Return of the King both state states Fifty-Second Printing, August 1976 and The Hobbit is a Sixtieth Printing, August 1976. Covers illustrated by J. R. R. Tolkien.
All four mass market paperbacks with clean, lightly toned covers with a different color illustration by the author. Also with no creases, clean page blocks, moderate to heavy surface wear, strong titles on concave spines, tight bindings, rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear and rounded corners. The interior of the books are also in Very Good condition with no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The inside covers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
Very Good slipcase has heavy wear on all surfaces, heavy edge wear with some bare spots and a heavy bump to one corner. Very attractive!
