For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, first printing hardcover copy of A Lesson From Aloes by Athol Fugard in a new archival wrap. First Edition, stated  1981 Random House. First Printing with full number line 2-10 just above First Edition statement, as per publisher. The book is not the book club edition.
The book is in Near Fine hardcover with clean boards, strong title gilt on the spine, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rubbed spine ends, moderate edge wear and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with a large remainder mark on the top page block and  an inked resale price on the first free end paper. No other markings inside. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
Very Good Dust jacket is price clipped with moderate surface wear and heavy edge wear and a 1/2″ triangular gap on the top rear edge. First state jacket with  5/81 date on the rear. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
