For sale: a Rare and Exceptional second edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper. Second Edition described, 1961 Charles Scribner’s. Later Printing,with II-11.66 [H] print code. Illustrated by N. C. Wyeth.

The exterior of the book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong title ink on a straight spine, lightly toned page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, .rolled spine ends, moderate to heavy edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making this an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is in Good condition with mild surface wear, heavy edge wear, chips, gaps and missing the top third of the rear flap. The $6.00 price is on the creased front flap which has the bottom corner clipped. Looks good in a new Brodart archival wrap.
