Description

For sale is a rare and exceptional 1966 Printing of Homer Price by Robert McCloskey, in a Good dust jacket protected in an archival wrap. First Edition described, October 1943 Viking Press on copyright page. Eighteenth Printing , stated, December 1966.

The hardcover book is in Very Good condition with clean, bright boards with a strong sheen and cloth pattern. The title ink is strong on the front board and the square spine. Also with, lightly soiled page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt,  rolled spine ends, moderate edge wear and rubbed and lightly rounded corners with no bare spots. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. A few pages have spots and smudges. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

Good price-clipped dust jacket with strong color, mild surface wear, heavy edge wear, chips and several tears mended with acid-free tape on the inside. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.

Six episodes in the life of Homer Price including one in which he and his pet skunk capture four bandits and another about a donut machine on the rampage. Also,  a juke box sets the whole town singing against its will and a mad scientist develops weeds that overrun the town.

Ships promptly in manila envelope with the book wrapped in both craft paper and multiple layers of bubble wrap.
