For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, first printing paperback copy of The Hole We’re In by Gabrielle Zevin. First Edition stated, 2010 Black Cat. First Printing with complete number line, 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. No hardcover edition was published.

The exterior of this paperback edition is in Near Fine condition, with clean, illustrated covers with no creases and mild remains of a sticker removed from the rear bar code. Also, a few spots on the bottom page blocks, mild surface wear, strong title on a straight spine, a tight binding with no spine cracks, strong spine ends, mild edge wear, lightly rounded corners and French flaps with the price intact. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The Hole We’re In shines a spotlight on some of the most relevant issues of today: over-reliance on credit, gender and class politics, and the war in Iraq. But it is Zevin’s deft exploration of the fragile economy of family life that makes this a book for the ages.
