For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, first printing hardcover copy of Galatea 2.2 by Richard Powers. First Edition stated, 1998 Farrar, Straus Giroux. First Printing with no subsequent printing.
The exterior of the book is in Very Good condition with bright boards with light spotting, strong title ink on a convex spine, a 1/2″ stain on the top page block, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with a corresponding stain on the top margins for the first 76 pages. There is also a large gift inscription on the front paste down, mostly covered by the front flap and light spotting to both paste downs.
The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition, with the price on the front flap, moderate surface wear, and mild edge wear. L
