The exterior of the book is in Very Good condition with clean, lightly faded, cloth boards. Also, strong title gilt on a straight spine, heavily foxed page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and rounded corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with a large diagonal cut on the first free end paper to remove the previous owner’s name and the ghost of an erased price on the Books By page. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Fair to Good condition with mild surface wear, heavy edge wear, a sunned spine and chips and tears. First state dust jacket has the $7.95 price on the bottom of the front flap, but is clipped on the top. L
