The exterior of the book is in Near Fine condition with clean, cloth boards, strong title gilt on a convex spine and the facsimile author’s signature on the front. Also with, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and strong corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the half title page. No other marks, inscriptions or signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with mild surface and edge wear, and the price and 0281 date code on the front flap. New, text only jacket design. Looks great in a Brodart archival wrap.
Death of a Salesman is a 1949 stage play written by the American playwright Arthur Miller. The play premiered on Broadway in February 1949, running for 742 performances. It is a two-act tragedy set in late 1940s Brooklyn told through a montage of memories, dreams, and arguments of the protagonist Willy Loman, a traveling salesman.
