For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, later printing hardcover copy of Collected Poems of T.S. Eliot by T. S. Eliot, complete with a price clipped dust jacket protected in a new archival wrap. First Edition unstated, 1958 Harcourt Brace. Presumed 20th printing with U.10.58 code on copyright page.
The book is in Very Good condition with bright boards with a few marks, strong title gilt on a straight spine, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled and rubbed spine ends, moderate to heavy edge wear, and heavily bumped corners. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with a light stain on the first free end paper and the previous owner’s name on the title page. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Good condition with moderate surface wear, a sunned spine with stains, heavy edge wear, chips, gaps. and the price clipped from the front flap. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
