The book is in Very Good condition with clean boards with mild toning at the edges. Also with, strong title gilt on a straight spine, light smudges and marks on the page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and two lightly rubbed  corners. no Book Club dimple on the rear board. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is the very rare first state with the 18.95 price on the front flap and the ISBN number on the rear cover. The jacket is in Near Fine condition with mild surface and edge wear, making it a stunning example of this highly sought-after first edition that looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
