The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong gilt title on the spine, light smudges on the page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and two lightly bumped corners. The front paste down is misaligned: the white paper on the reverse side of the front cover is not square to the edges of the book. The first free end paper is the same sheet of paper, so it is now misglued as well. As a result the interior of the book is in very Good condition with with the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership. The rear end paper is not misaligned and the interior pages are clean and bright. Still a strong and attractive first printing.
The dust jacket is in Near Fine condition with mild surface and edge wear, and the $35.00 price on the front flap. L
