For sale: a Rare and Exceptional early collected works edition hardcover copy of The Brushwood Boy by Rudyard Kipling. First
The exterior of the book is in Very Good condition with bright boards with mild soiling and a bit of sheen, and strong title gilt on the front board, but faded on the moderately sunned spine and only visible up close. There is surprisingly strong gilt on the top page block and the bottom block shows moderate compression. Also featured is a strong binding, mild spine tilt, rolled spine ends, moderate to heavy edge wear, and bumped and rubbed corners with no bare spots.
The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with the previous owner’s an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions or other signs of ownership. The rear end paper and paste downs are clean with strong gutters. The interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
