For sale is a rare paperback edition, early printing of The Book of Lies by Aleister Crowley. First paperback Edition unstated, 1981 Weiser Books. Presumed second printing with partial number line. No hardcover edition has been printed.
The exterior of the paperback edition is in Good condition, with clean covers with creases and dents, mild surface wear, strong title on a square spine, soiled page blocks, a tight binding with no creases, rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear and rounded corners. The interior of the book is also Good condition with creases and turned pages, no marks, inscriptions, or any other signs of ownership. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned.
Written by the famed English occultist Aleister Crowley, The Book of Lies was first published in 1913. But later, around 1921, Crowley wrote a separate text of short commentary on each of the chapters to assist the reader in the qabalistic interpretation. That commentary is included in this edition from Weiser Books.
