For sale is a rare and exceptional First Edition, Early Printing of The Bobbsey Twins in a Great City [Original Edition] (Bobbsey Twins #9) by Laura Lee Hope, with no dust jacket. First [Original] Edition unstated, 1917 Grosset and Dunlap on copyright page. Early Printing with the white line drawing on end papers. Wartime conditions imprint on title page dates the books to 1944-45.
The hardcover book is in Very Good condition with bright boards with a strong sheen and some spots on the back. The title ink is strong on the front board and faded, but legible on the lightly sunned spine. Also with, lightly stained bottom page block, tight binding, no spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear and lightly rounded corners. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with the previous owner’s name on the front paste down. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The illustrated end papers feature three children and a dog and the interior pages are clean and evenly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The Bobbsey Twins in a Great City is Book 9 of the first (original) series, written by Howard R. Garis in 1917 under the pen name of Laura Lee Hope.
