The exterior of the paperback edition is in Very Good condition, with bright covers, mild surface wear, strong title on a square spine, heavily foxed page blocks, a tight binding with no cracks, lightly rubbed top spine end, mild edge and corner wear. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition, with an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or signs of ownership. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned.

Based on historical events that took place on the Texas-Mexico border in the 1850s, Blood Meridian traces the fortunes of the Kid, a fourteen-year-old Tennesseean who stumbles into the nightmarish world where Indians are being murdered and the market for their scalps is thriving.
