For sale is a rare and exceptional first edition, second printing of Between the Acts by Virginia Woolf, with no dust jacket. First American Edition stated, 1941 Harcourt Brace. First Printing with no subsequent printing.

The book is in Very Good condition with clean, cloth boards with a strong sheen and faded title gilt on the heavily sunned spine, which is legible up close. Also with, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and rounded corners. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with an erased price on the stained first free end paper. Both end papers have discolorations from the paste down glue and a few pages have turned corners. No other marks, inscriptions, or signs of ownership. The interior pages are clean and moderately toned.

In Woolf’s last novel, the action takes place on one summer’s day at a country house in the heart of England, where the villagers are presenting their annual pageant. A lyrical, moving valedictory.
